The ISKCON temple - Bhubaneswar

The ISKCON temple has statues of deities like Krishna, Balarama, Gaura Nithai, Subhadra and Jagannath. Focusing on the propagation and education of spiritual knowledge, the society at large follows the techniques of spiritual life and consciousness of Krishna, the temples follow the great scriptures of India, the Bhagavad Gita, and Srimad Bhagavatam.

Being promoted in the teachings of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the temple focuses on the belief that each soul is part and package of the quality of Lord Krishna. The temple also promotes the Sankirtan movement, the chanting of the congregation of the holy name of God.

Reflecting the ideology of the ISKCON movement, the temple regularly conducts kirtans, bhajans and pujas. The ISKCON movement is very prominent in Bhubaneswar, with activities around two ISKCON centers, one in the Swarga Dwarwa region and the other on the outskirts of the city. A new Radha-Krishna temple has been built, near the ISKCON temple, for the devotees of Krishna and Radha, the universal symbols of love.
